Every Day is Children's Day!

That's what my parents used to say when we complained that they had Mother's Day and Father's Day, and why didn't we have a Kids' Day?

Well, they do have a Children's Day here and we went again this year. Unfortunately the major festivities were rained out.

We decided to tough it out (it wasn't even spitting by the time we got there) and walk around town. We found a few stores and restaurants that still had their activities happening.

There's nothing like a balloon and some face paint to satisfy four year olds. And Sam, well, he was quite content with just the balloon.

And, as if I needed a reminder, you can see that photographing the three of them at once continues to be a challenge.
