A Boo-Boo is Not a Fashion Accessory
A few weeks ago, Sophie took a nasty spill on our way to the coffee shop downtown. Even the ice cream we were going there to buy could not stop her hysterical crying.
I tried talking it up, but she simply wailed through the licks. After about my tenth time of saying, "Maybe we should we just bring our ice cream back home," she conceded.
It was the longest walk ever, as I carried a howling four-year-old up a big hill, down three flights of stairs, and across a river. All the while nagging the other four-year-old and the curious two-year-old to hurry along. (You can't imagine how many interesting finds there are along a quarter-mile stretch of any town!)
When we finally made it home, and I was cleaning up Sophie's scrape, Sam turned to her and said, "Why you have your boo-boo on?"
Exasperated, Sophie answered, "It's not on ... I can't take it off!"

Well, a boo boo may not be a fashion statement, but a rocket top, penguin bottoms and green frog boots certainly is! Cousin Sawyer has green frog boots. We'll need to work on the rest of the outfit here in VA.
The clan is looking quite grown up and beautiful.

Poor Sophia. She has had a string of bad luck lately...this fall, the fall in the living room... encouner with a pair of scissors...
She might need bubble wrapping before leaving the house!
